An Unintentional Pairing Of Rabbits

I whipped together a quick playlist without realizing I'd paired Frightened Rabbit with White Rabbits. It happens.

Old World Romance is the name of the new album by Sea Wolf. Sea Wolf began as a solo project for Brown Church and evolved into a band from there. They sound more Seattle than Los Angeles if you ask me, but you didn't, so... whatever. Old World Romance is an excellent album.

Everyone Can't Be Confused is from the album Milk Famous by White Rabbits. Milk Famous was one of my favorite CDs from 2012. Wow, is 2012 really last year? Anyway.... I'm a big White Rabbits fan, and it didn't occur to me until I was about to post this playlist that I'd put them back to back with Frightened Rabbit. It was unintentional, I assure you. I build these playlists based on how the songs flow together.

Speaking of Frightened Rabbit, their next album is called Pedestrian Verse and it should be released next week (February 5th, in fact). I'm really looking forward to it. I still thin Frightened Rabbit's 2008 CD The Midnight Organ Fight was one of the best albums of the last decade. Seriously, it was THAT good. Home From War is from their State Hospital EP, which is a recent release that served as a teaser of sorts for Pedestrian Verse.

Of all the songs on this playlist, the one I can't get out of my head is Seer, by Motopony. Their self titled debut was released in 2011, and I completely missed it. And that's a crime. Give Seer a listen and you'll understand why I feel that way.
