The new album by Sarah Jaffe is excellent, but she released an EP of mostly demos and out-takes last year that I never got around to buying because... well... it was an EP of mostly demos and out-takes. I was wrong to pass that one by. I finally decided to buy it a few weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. It's called The Way Sound Leaves a Room, and it's available on the iTunes store. I highly recommend it! I've posted a song from it in this playlist, but it's not the best track from the EP. It's just the one that best fit the mood I was going for. It's fun to build a playlist based on a mood.
Hem's The Fire Thief had me with the opening line: "Wouldn't be the first time love made a fool of me."
