Winteresque
Here in Portland, we got a nice burst of spring last week, but it's long gone now as winter weather simply refuses to give way.
...and since today feels like winter... here's a playlist that sounds like winter.
"Toast" - A Piano Playlist
03/16/09 - 03/22/09
- I Don't Blame You | Cat Power
- Kylie From Connecticut | Ben Folds
- Field Below | Regina Spektor
- Fire | Augustana
- Modern Daze | Chris Kowanko
- Alcoholic | Starsailor
- Sail Away | Randy Newman
- Toast | Tori Amos
- Reasons For Living | Duncan Sheik
- Asleep | The Smiths
- Magic in the Air | Badly Drawn Boy
Alcoholic, by Starsailor, probably has the strongest opening line of any song I've ever heard. OK, it's really two lines... but wow. What a statement.
"Don't you know you've got your daddy's eyes..."
