No Horizon On The Line
There's some fun new music in this week's Jalpuna radio playlist... New Bell X1, A.C. Newman, Von Brondies, and a band called Say Hi, who were formerly known as "Say Hi To Your Mom."
...oh, and of course, new U2...

I'm withholding judgment of the new U2 album, No Line On The Horizon. On first listen, I was really excited by what I heard - until I realized I hadn't been paying attention. That is the album's downfall, really. It 'sounds' great, until you get to the parts where Bono is singing about singing. Eh? Still, parts of the album are superb. Rolling Stone gives it five stars. Really? "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight?" Five stars? Really?
I found myself asking "we waited five years for THIS?" ...it's good... but, 5 years? And then came news of a follow up album, rumored to be called "Songs of Ascent". Did five years yield two U2 albums? Time will tell.
