Songs For A Silent Night
While searching for Christmas songs to post in this week's playlist, I came to realize that everyone and their brother has covered Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, but to the best of my knowledge, Rosie Thomas has the only good cover of Alvin And The Chipmunks' "Christmas Don't Be Late" (usually just referred to as "The Chipmunk Song").

The lyrics to Robert Earl Keen's "Merry Christmas From The Family" are pretty frigging great. Talk about setting a scene. Also, thank you to Sarah for introducing me to "Christmas Card From A Hooker", which might actually be more of an early Valentines Day song, really.
