A gentle helping of Jalpuna Radio as we ease our way deeper into autumn...
I know what you're thinking. You see that last track and think "The Dream Academy, Rob? Really?" Damn right. Most remember them as a one hit wonder from the 80s with the song Life In A Northern Town, but there was more to them than that. In the fall of 1990, I found myself mesmerized by their third (and final) album A Different Kind Of Weather.
The Psychic from Crash Test Dummies is another favorite by a band that was far more than a one hit wonder.
Oh, and Red House Painters. And Trashcan Sinatras. And Owen! Who could forget about them? (just about everybody, as it turns out, and that's tragic).
...Great stuff.
