Sounding Winded
Moving into a new apartment has been an exhausting process! I'm not complaining though. Just pointing out why there's been less writing here lately. All of my creative energy seems to be going into organizing this new space and turning it into a home.
My home.
Anyway... it's Monday, which means it's time to post a new playlist. For no particular reason, this week's list features songs with wind instruments. Give it a listen. You'll get it.
Winded
04/21/08 - 04/27/08
- Horn Intro | Modest Mouse
- All The Money Or The Simple Life Honey | The Dandy Warhols
- Wish I Was Skinny | The Boo Radleys
- Heart In Me | Cordero
- Can't Hardly Wait | The Replacements
- Hard To Live In The City | Albert Hammond, Jr.
- For Sure | American Football
- Deathbed | Relient K
- Keys Out Lights On | Jenny Owen Youngs
- Ice on the Wing | Nada Surf
- The Shining / Everybody's Stalking | Badly Drawn Boy
- Spitting Venom | Modest Mouse
By the way - I really wish Reliant K weren't quite so heebie-jesus. Deathbed is a cool song, but they lose me towards the end. I'm always amazed by the things people actually believe in terms of religion. It's all mythology to me, and since I have no problem with enjoying a song about someone else's mythology, I have no problem posting one. So there you go.

Mythology. I have never looked at it that way. Brilliant. I've never been able to put my finger on, and successfully articulate, how I feel about religion, but mythology is about the closest I've come so far.
Thank you for that
