Ghosts Appear And Fade Away

I find myself in the mood for an acoustic playlist this week, so hopefully you're in the mood for one as well. There are a few gems here. The Dashboard Confessional cover of Regina Spektor's "Better", and Colin Hay's cover of his own "Overkill" (originally from his days with Men At Work).

For me, the real gem in this week's playlist is a song called "Things I Stole" by Seven Mary Three. They're a band you might remember from the mid 90s who got swept up in the whole alternative/rock scene, but they had a bit of country in their core and finally it appears they're embracing it on their new album Day&NightDriving.

Am I strong enough to keep my mouth shut tight?
Something in this house won't let me sleep tonight.
Sing one for tomorrow, one for the way we were.

Am I man enough to say what I've done wrong?
Something in this house won't leave me alone.
Sing one for tomorrow, one for the way we were.
Once for things I borrowed, one for the thing that I stole from her

Does baby love me the way that she says she does?
Does your baby love you the way that she says she does?

Even though I'm the one who made this playlist, I completely forgot about the Wilco song. I always associate that one with Natalie Merchant since she does the vocals.
