So Trampled, We Must All Be Found
Pour yourself a glass of wine. Turn the lights down low. Or, even better, turn them all off. Surely that will be best because this week's Jalpuna Radio playlist is dark. It's somber. It might even be sad.
Though it began as a piano playlist, it may have unintentionally become a soundtrack for an unexpected winter evening alone.
Winter
01/14/08 - 01/20/08
- Sake | Guillemots
- Farewell | Rosie Thomas
- Sam's Town (Live from Abbey Road) | The Killers
- Leave Me Here | Hem
- Superman's Song | Crash Test Dummies
- Driving [Acoustic] | Everything But the Girl
- Radio Ballet | Eluvium
- Fistful OF Tears | Lucero
- Ode To Divorce | Regina Spektor
- Winter | Tori Amos
- Videotape | Radiohead
So often, when I make one of these playlists, I find myself thinking "OH! This is my favorite one yet!" And this just might be my favorite one yet - possibly because it's late on a Sunday night as I type this, and the songs are softly playing in the background.
This is what winter sounds like.
