Keep Watch For The Mimes

The first time I heard the new album by Dashboard Confessional ("The Shade Of Poison Trees"), I was... eh, I don't remember what I was doing. Probably working on something. The album was floating somewhere in the background the way unfamiliar music often does when something more pressing is at hand.

It wasn't until the third time I heard the phrase "Keep watch for the mimes!" that I had to stop what I was doing.

I stared at the speakers - and he said it again:

"Keep watch for the mimes!"

You can imagine my disappointment when I realized he was actually saying "MINES" not MIMES. Mimes are downright creepy, and since I don't live in a war zone, I think the lyrics make more sense my way... but what do I know?

I'll tell you what I know. I know enough to keep watch for the mimes.

Last week's playlist was a bit more serious than I intended it to be, so this week, I'm going in the opposite direction with a selection of songs that are fun. Period.

P.S. Apparently, I'm not the only one who doesn't like mimes:
