We're getting conflicting opinions regarding whether or not we'll see snow in Portland tomorrow.
Channel 2 says no. A few flurries, maybe, but it's not likely to reach the valley floor.
Channel 6 says probably not. Possibly a dusting in the city, or maybe nothing at all. Also, Ken Boddie is not an alien.
Channel 8 says yes. We'll see accumulations of an inch or two on the valley floor through Saturday afternoon.
Channel 12 says yes. Er, no. Well, yes, but probably not. The reporter then reached into a freezer to remove a snowball from last year because it was the best prop he could find for the story.
Fox News says no. They blame the liberals for not supporting the surge of cold air. Apparently, we're either with it or we're against it.
Rush Limbaugh says no. Absolutely not. He doesn't do the white powdery stuff. He gets his thrills with pills.
Rudy Giuliani would like to point out that the cold air-mass is actually from Canada and thus entering the country illegally. Further, he wants you to know that similar illegal air-masses can often be found over Mitt Romney's mansion. He's just sayin'...
George Bush says no, though he refuses to discuss specifics or even discuss a timetable. He says he has a plan. Furthermore, he says that when the snowflakes can conduct independent operations to defeat the barren sidewalks and streets, the raindrops will stand down. The decision will be made in the sky, and will not be dictated by opinion polls. Or facts. He relies on the weathermen to make his decisions, noting that most of the weathermen who believed otherwise have already been fired.
I say - I guess we'll see what happens.
An interesting side note: I originally posted this exactly two years ago today in regards to the possibility of snow on December 1st, 2005, but I edited it to fix the forecasts for what they're saying about tomorrow's weather. We didn't have any snow that day in '05, but tomorrow? Who knows.
I am sad that we had no snow :(
That means that I had to go to work today -- I was so hoping to have the day off for my birthday (which is today, not Saturday)
Ah well! hopefully we'll have some real snow, real soon!!::::: | December 1, 2005 11:05 AM
I was really looking forward to snow too. I can't imagine how sweet it would be to watch snow falling outside my widows today.
Snow reminds me of being a kid. I remember sitting in the dining room and watching snow fall past the light by our front door.
The snow storm from two years ago was wonderful. It's part of what inspired me to start this blog. My place became so quiet, and peaceful. I sat and wrote to everybody I knew, mostly because I wanted to write.
Snow is so peaceful... I love it. And I miss it.::::: | December 1, 2005 11:12 AM
Edited and bumped back to the top for Stormwatch 2007!!!!
Let's see if we get any snow this time.::::: | November 30, 2007 12:09 PM
