What a month September was. It started with daily high temps in the 90s and ended with highs in the 50s. The mid 50s!
Yesterday was downright chilly and felt more like winter than the beginning of fall. I had a fire in my fireplace, a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast... Jesus the H certainly isn't for He's Mister Heatmiser Christ, I had a cup of cocoa this evening!
And let's not forget about the rain. Our beloved Portland is chilly and wet. But I'm complaining about any of it. In fact, this is my favorite time of year.
Sweaters, button down shirts, jackets... dare I say scarves? We're back to dressing in layers. It is the Oregon way...
...and that brings me to this week's playlist. These songs are all about the many layers of vocals, instruments and effects that dress up the final mix of each.
The title to this post is taken from War On War, by Wilco,
"You are not my typewriter
But you could be my demon
moving forward through the flaming doors"
