If You Were The Baltic Sea And I Were A Cup
Holy crap do I love women. All of you. Each one of you is more beauiful than the one before. I watch you walk around, shopping for groceries, browsing through the stacks of books at Powell's, riding in the streetcar, and I marvel in your beauty.
First, there's your curves. The female body is a work of art. I want to run my hands along every inch, following each of those curves... those delicious, delicious curves.
Then there's your eyes. The look in a woman's eyes when she is looking meaningfully into a man's eyes is the sort of thing that can make my heart stop. If I am the man in question, I bask in the glow of those marvelous eyes that seem to see into my soul. On the ther hand, if I'm just an observer, taking in the sight of a woman looking that special way into some other man's eyes, I still enjoy the moment. Are the trees any less beautiful because I have no yard? I think not.
Let's not forget your hands. The touch of a woman melt's me at least as much as the look in her eyes.
Most importantly, there's your mind. Oh how I love to make a woman laugh! Or swoon. Actually, it's absurd to suggest I can make someone feel such emotions. These are things we share, not give or take, and they can't be forced - which is precisely the reason they are so spectacular.
Women and men are not the same, and those differences are to be celebrated. Sadly, however, this week's playlist isn't a celebration of women. It's just a list of songs about them.
If you were the Baltic Sea and I were a cup (uh-huh)... Janine, I'd drink you up.

Good god I feel that way about men. All the time. It's ridiculous. And wonderful.
Love that Decemberists song.

I googled (because, you know, that's a verb now) the lyrics for Janine and it sent me here.
This is.. Facund.
It would have hooked my romantic-in-denial heart anyways, but the metaphors. They always get me.
