Bring On The Comets

The past makes for a nice place to visit. Today is a challenge, tomorrow a mystery, but the past is an easy stroll down memory lane. Since you've already been there, you know your way around. Old friends are new again, and lost loves are found.

The past makes for a nice place to visit, but be sure not to stay too long. Overstaying your welcome in yesterdays can mean giving up todays and tomorrows because nothing in your hand can match the beauty of a reminiscent mind's eye.

With that in mind, it's time to put away the music of my youth. I can always revisit those old friends on another day. Instead, for this week's Jalpuna Radio playlist, I went with something a lot more current.

    The Corners Are Round
    08/20/07 - 08/26/07

  1. C'mon C'mon | The Von Bondies
  2. Bring On The Comets | VHS Or Beta
  3. Slow Show | The National
  4. Daisychains | Youth Group
  5. Round In The Corners | Wheat
  6. Down Boy | Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  7. Lazy Eye | Silversun Pickups
  8. Cool Scene | The Dandy Warhols
  9. Finer Feelings | Spoon
  10. Knights | Minus The Bear
  11. Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors | Editors

Staying current with new music is really hard to do because there's so much of it. There are two above that I highly recommend if the song posted piques your curiosity. The National's latest CD 'Boxer' and Spoon's new 'Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga' are both superb.
