I'm finally (FINALLY!) getting over my cold. Holy crap! It's lasted a full two weeks. Unbelievable!
But enough about me.
I realized I haven't mentioned Simon lately, so I thought I'd post a quick update to let you know how he's doing. Oh, what the hell... I'll let him tell you.
I refer to this as The Simon Power-Purr. There are times when he purrs because he's happy. Then there are times, like a minute ago, when he purrs for attention. If he doesn't get the attention, he'll keep purring, louder and louder and louder.
It'd be annoying if it weren't so damn cute!
...A cat on the lap is a happy cat indeed.

One of my cats makes a similar sound when demanding attention. Although instead of purring louder and louder, when the first round of purrs fails he jumps onto the coffe table and systematically nudges each remote control onto the floor.
