A Holiday For Hangin'! (Yeah)
So many people count the shopping days before Christmas. I, on the other hand, would like to point out that there are seven more music days until Christmas songs reach their annual expiration date, after which they resemble a quart of eggnog in the fridge past its prime.
Do you still partake of its creamy goodness? Do you still serve it?
"Maybe if I mix in enough alcohol, nobody will notice."
But, just when you think you've gotten away with it, one by one, your guests find their way to the bathroom.
So, before our holiday goodies turn sour, let's drink them up. Shoo-bop-shoo-bop my baby! Let's get to the part about this week's Jalpuna Radio...
I hope you will indulge me just a bit with this list. True, some of it is a bit more pop than usual. Not all of the songs have expiration dates - in fact, a few of them aren't really holiday songs at all, but they're appropriate all the same.

- It's A Hit | Rilo Kiley

The title to this post and playlist comes from Rilo Kiley's "It's A Hit." Give it a listen. You'll get it.
In closing, a fitting quote from the Trashcan Sinatras:
now we raise a toast to celebrate
as december's embers fade
but every fire is just a hoax
for january's little joke
...time marches on.
