I don't know why, but for some odd reason, this week's playlist sounds a lot like summer to me. Always Love, with its sunshine optimism... Under Your Charms reminds me of a warm breeze on a hot night mixed with the hope of some summer lovin'. Orange Peel sounds like a sunny day at the coast, though the lyrics are clearly about being somewhere else. Grin.
Resting in your yellow room your face was so surreal I kissed you with my rabbit foot I made your orange peel
Harder to explain, however, is the way I associate sound with color. For some reason, this playlist sounds orange. In fact, it sounded orange before I added the song 'Orange Peel.' That one always makes me smile...
The title to this post is taken from "Always Love" by Nada Surf:
To make a mountain of your life is just a choice But I never learned enough To listen to the voice that told meAlways love...
hate will get you every time
Always love...
hate will get you
...indeed.

By the way, Always Love: my absolute favoritist song for the past year.
