To Find Someone You Love
To find someone you love, you've got to be someone you love. The man from Nada Surf says it is so, and I believe him.
Before I can expect to be the man of someone else's dreams, I really should work on becoming a bit more of the man I dream of being.
Maybe this reads as if it's a sad thought. Really, it's not. In fact, I think it's quite hopeful.
...I will because I can.
Another wise man once preached the power of Baby Steps. I believe his name was Bob.
"Baby steps get on the elevator... baby steps get on the elevator... Ah, I'm on the elevator."
Sadly, the above example wasn't a metaphor. Maybe that man wasn't really so wise after all (though he did reach the elevator, and that's gotta count for something).
I think I'll take the stairs.

There is a lot of wisdom in "What about Bob?"

Maybe I saw that film before I was old enough to truly appreciate it. I mean, I liked it - and obviously it stayed with me... hhhmmm...
I'll have to rent it sometime.
Bill Murray is phenomenal.
