I Am Such A Geek
Oh what the hell... we're not going to have another 01:02:03, 04/05/06 for a thousand years. I might as well put both of them today to good use, eh?
...right.
So, I'm in the shower. Not right now... geez, I'd electrocute myself by blogging in the shower - otherwise, I probably would. I get my best ideas while in the shower.
I don't know why.
Maybe it's the lather? Maybe it's the Aveda rosemary mint shampoo that makes my head tingle? Who knows.
So... I'm in the shower... thinking shower type thoughts. You know the ones.
"Did I wash my armpits? Pancakes are great. Is someone knocking on my door? I hope it doesn't rain today."
That last one's a pretty stupid thought, considering I was standing under man-made rain.
But I digress.
So, I'm in the shower, thinking shower thoughts, when all of a sudden - BAM! A simple design idea. I dried myself off, got dressed, and whipped out the following in a matter of minutes. And, like Jalpuna, a different image is displayed each time the page loads.
OK! I've got the design for my photo site up and running. All I need now is to figure out how to really use my new camera in hopes of taking photos worth posting.
Crap.
...Everything seems so much easier in the shower.

And I get my best thinkings done in the shower, too... It's because showers are boring as hell and there's nothing to do BUT think... either that, or being pelted by warm water attracts free-roaming ideas and they plant themselves in your brain while you are showering...

Thanks! I really like the new logo too. I geeked out a bit with it actually. There's a script built into the site's main page that grabs a random image from the folder of big pictures and lays it under as a background. The real beauty is that every time I upload a picture to the site, it's automatically added to the list of random pics for the home page - without me having to do anything - thanks to the script.
Now THAT'S cool!

Hmmm... this is a conversation I'd probably rather have via email - but... my vision is 20/200 with correction. Or, let's put it this way: my vision comes from the sort of problem lenses can't correct. My glasses make things a little more crisp I suppose, but that's about it... very little correction.
Oh, and I'm speedy with responses because I'm working, which means I'm at the computer. Whenever a comment is posted here, I get an email. That helps keep spam off the site.
Sadly, I'm not doing something fun right now, like writing a post for today. I'm editing html
