She Walks Softly
I met a new friend on a trip to the Coast yesterday. Her name is Denali.

Needless to say, she carries a big stick.

Here's a tip for your next big-stick carrying day at the coast, courtesy of Denali...

...don't drop your stick in the ocean, because it'll never taste the same.

I love how pure animals emotions are. And how simple their joys are. All Denali needs is a big stick and a beach to run on. And someone to love of course.
Then again, we all need that.
And a big stick's not so bad either.
And a beach to run on...

Denali's got it all figured out.

Thanks Rob! I tried to read it all without crying but i failed. I guess it's a good thing though because i haven't cried for her since i found out she has a tumor and will need to be put down in a month or so. Damn I'll miss my baby girl! She got me through some tough times.
thanks!

I felt a little sad seeing her shaved belly in these pictures as I edited them to post here.
She's a sweet girl.

What a fitting, beautiful tribute to what is obviously a wonderful companion with a great heart.
And a good lesson on how to live in the moment, and be grateful for small joys...like an awesome dog.
