"Y'know, I thought about you on New Years' morning."

I told her about hearing the rain pitter patter against the windows of my loft. I told her about seeing a rainbow when I'd expected to see the rain. I told her that I recalled our conversations from nearly two years ago.

We'd talked about fate.

She believes that everything happens for a reason, but I do not.

"You've got to believe in something" she said.

I told her that I do.

I believe in me.

I love this post -- not sure why, but it resonates for me... It makes me want to buy you a hot beverage and force you to converse with me for an hour or two.

I think I am hoping that some of your simple brilliance will rub off on me...
