Wow! A 2.8 magnitude earthquake happened tonight, centered within half a mile of me. Well, it was eight to ten miles below ground, directly below a point less than half a mile from me.
Here's a good source of info if you felt it too (or are just curious).
From where I was - at home in my loft - if just felt like a giant gust of wind hitting my windows, except that the sound seemed to be coming from above and below rather than from the windows.
Very odd.
I guess people from California think nothing of this stuff, but it's news to me.
