I think I hope Portland gets a major league baseball team someday - assuming the city can afford it of course. I'm not a sports fan, but I can appreciate the way a winning team brings a city together.
Call it silly, but I can get into the hype as much as the next person, and I'm not too proud to admit it... which brings me to the topic at hand. I lived in Pittsburgh twice during the mid 90's. Thus, I am and forever shall be, a Steerler fan - except when they play The Bears, in which case it's a crap shoot (I lived in Chicago the year the Bears won it all.)
The Steelers begin the playoffs with the best record in football this season: 15 wins, 1 loss. I'm hoping they make it to The Superbowl... but they have to make it through the playoffs first, and today that involves playing the NY Jets.
Only time will tell...

Heinz Field - what a gorgeous new stadium they've built on the edge of downtown. It makes me envious.
Portland's not a football town... but baseball? THAT we could do. If only...
