Kicking The Fear Factor Up A Notch
Two absolutely marvelous quotes this week from the Bush campaign:
QUOTE #1: The Only Thing You Have To Fear IS...
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful.
And so are we.
They never stop thinking about new ways
to harm our country and our people.
And neither do we."
- George W. Bush, 8/5/2004
Thanks George. I feel reassured now.
QUOTE #2: Prozac for the disenfranchised...
"Why don't they get new jobs if they're unhappy -- or go on Prozac?"
- Susan Sheybani [assistant to Bush campaign spokesman Terry Holt]
Well, the Prozac idea sounds lovely. No, really, it does. But 'they' will need jobs to afford the Prozac - which, by the way, is made in the U.S.A. yet considerably cheaper in CANADA.
Let's see how the Bush administration is doing on the jobs front:
- 208,000 new jobs added in May.
- 78,000 new jobs added in June.
- 32,000 new jobs added in July.
That's not a healthy trend at all. I wonder if Bush administration knows it's supposed to go the other way? I also wonder how many jobs they've created in INDIA?
On second thought - I'd rather not know.
