Rain, Rain, Go Away
I never thought I'd see a day when I wished away the rain. Normally, I LOVE Portland's rain, but the roof here is leaking. Actually, it's more than leaking. It's sending water through the walls of this entire building. They're trying to find an emergency temporary fix.
Meanwhile, an architect just dropped by to take a look at my unit. He's sending over an electrical engineer to see if - and I quote - to see if it is habitable.
And so, I wait.
The weather forecast looks grim. As does my once lovely home.
This. Just. Sucks.

Update:
1:10pm.
A quote from the electrical engineer who just inspected my circuit breakers.
"This all appears safe, but I may change my opinion..."
Great. And he got to see the place when it was sunny outside. It's a whole different ballgame in the rain.
This is what was happening outside my front door a few nights ago...

...and this is from last night in my bathroom.

Isn't that delicious?
I don't even want to know why the water in one bucket was yellow and the other was orange.
YUUUUUUUUUUCK.

3:30pm.
Apparently, someone has changed their opinion on the circuit breakers.
If the roof isn't fixed - at least temporarily - before it starts to rain again, water will almost certainly flow down through the wall with my circuit breakers again. There's no reason to believe otherwise, since yesterday's light rain was enough to cause that to happen.
So... if that happens again, PGE has to be called in to shut off the power.
And I...
...?
Well, I honestly don't know.
